APPLICATION

Acid ear drops are used in dogs and cats.

Acetic acid makes the environment in the external ear canal more acidic. This makes the environment in the external ear canal unfavorable for microorganisms. The drops can be used in dogs or cats that suffer more frequently from irritated ears and dogs that swim frequently.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

With ulcerations of the external ear canal, the ear drops may hurt, do not use the ear drops in these cases. Do not use if the eardrum is perforated. Therefore, consult a veterinarian first.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION AND METHOD OF USE

Consult a veterinarian before use and follow the prescribed usage. The usual dosage for an irritated ear is 1-3 times a day 5-20 drops, depending on the size of the animal, directly into the ear to be treated. Usually for a small dog (10kg) administer ½ pipette (10- 20 drops) per ear. For maintenance, the usual dose is 1-3 times per week, and for dogs that suffer a lot due to swimming, it is recommended to treat before or after swimming.

Make sure the ear drops are at room temperature before you administer them, such as by warming the bottle in your hand. After administration, it is important to keep a hand on the ear for about 2 minutes to allow the drops to spread evenly in the ear canal. Shaking the cup is not a problem after this. Avoid massaging the ear.

PRESERVATION AND SHELF LIFE

Store in a refrigerator (2-8 ºC) for a shelf life of 24 months from production date.

Store below 25ºC for a shelf life of 12 months from production date.

Can be kept for 6 months after opening.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

METHOD AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION

The usual dosage for an irritated ear is 1-3 times a day with 3 to 10 drops, depending on the size of the animal, directly into the ear to be treated. Typically administer a quarter pipette (5-10 drops) per ear for a small dog (10kg). For maintenance, the usual dose is 1-3 times a week, and for dogs experiencing discomfort due to swimming, it is advisable to administer before or after swimming.

Ensure that the ear drops are at room temperature before administration, for instance, by warming the bottle in your hand. After application, it's important to hold a hand on the ear for approximately 2 minutes to allow the drops to evenly disperse within the ear canal. Shaking the head afterward is not an issue. Avoid massaging the ear.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE CONDITIONS

Store refrigerated (2-8 ºC) for a shelf life of 24 months from manufacture date.

Store below 25 ºC for a shelf life of 12 months from manufacture date. Shelf life after opening: 6 months. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
