Indications
Acute and proliferative otitis externa or as a maintenance product in chronic recurrent otitis externa and dogs that swim a lot.
Operation
The active ingredient acetic acid lowers the pH in the external ear canal, creating an unfavorable environment for unwanted microorganisms. It is an appropriate maintenance product, helps quickly and ensures healthy ears.
Use
Consult a veterinarian before use and follow the prescribed usage. The usual dosage for an irritated ear is 1-3 times a day 5-20 drops, depending on the size of the animal, directly into the ear to be treated. Usually for a small dog (10kg) administer ½ pipette (10- 20 drops) per ear. For maintenance, the usual dose is 1-3 times per week, and for dogs that suffer a lot due to swimming, it is recommended to treat before or after swimming.
Make sure the ear drops are at room temperature before you administer them, such as by warming the bottle in your hand. After administration, it is important to keep a hand on the ear for about 2 minutes to allow the drops to spread evenly in the ear canal. Shaking the cup is not a problem after this. Avoid massaging the ear.
