Indications
Rescue skin shampoo is used for infected painful, thick, hot and/or red skin caused by bacteria , yeasts and/or fungi. The skin shampoo was developed by veterinary dermatologists for the treatment of Malassezia, Pyoderma, Intertrigo and other skin infections, hot spots and skin irritations. The shampoo is widely applicable and also works supportively in atopic dogs to prevent recurrent skin infections. In horses, the shampoo is used for bacterial mug, secondary skin infections, which for example
caused by tail and mane eczema and other bacterial, fungal or yeast infections. Rescue skin shampoo is also used to prevent secondary skin infections.
Operation
Sodium hypochlorite kills many types of bacteria. The ceramides in the shampoo help restore moisture balance and protective barrier function of the skin.
Rosemary and mint are soothing ingredients. Menthol and rosemary are added for a cooling effect. Rosemary also reduces epidermal turnover and contributes to normal sebum production. SK-influx®, consisting of fatty acids, ceramides, cholesterol and phytosphingosine, restores the skin barrier and hydrates the skin. Hyaluronic acid promotes elasticity and moisture of the skin.
Use
The frequency of shampoo treatment depends on the condition, severity of the complaint and the purpose of the treatment. We recommend that, in cases of skin infection, at least 2 to 3 times
per week until the clinical symptoms disappear. If necessary, the shampoo can be used daily. To prevent recurring chronic skin infections, mug or hotspots, we recommend using the shampoo at least once a week. Preferably wash the animal 2 times per shampooing. The first time for the cleansing effect (removing dirt, flakes, etc.), the second time for the treatment. Leave the shampoo on the second wash for at least 10 minutes for the fastest results. Do not use if the pet is (over)sensitive to any of the ingredients.
