Maxani Animal Healthcare

Maxani specializes in topical dermatology for companion animals. We develop skin and wound care products that help veterinarians and veterinary nurses treat animals better — without unnecessary antibiotic use. Exclusively available through veterinary professionals, active in the Netherlands and Belgium, and actively expanding throughout Europe.

In November 2025, Maxani was chosen as one of ten winners of the Orange Trade Mission Fund – selected from over 300 SMEs. As an International Business intern, you'll step in at the exact moment international growth truly begins.

What are you going to do?

• Market researchDesk research on European target markets: veterinary landscapes, regulations, and opportunities by country, supported by AI tools.
• Find and approach distributorsYou identify potential partners and approach them warmly or coldly, tailored to the local tone of voice.
• Customer contactMaintain existing international clients and recruit new contacts, by email and phone.
• Market introductionsFrom market analysis to action plan and execution.
• RVO and EvofenedexActively utilize subsidy applications, export advice, training, and networking events.
• SIB subsidiesInvestigate subsidy options and support application procedures.
• PPWR ProjectContributing to the impact of European packaging legislation on Maxani's export markets.

Who are we looking for?

Independent, analytical HBO student of International Business (3rd year or higher) with a keen interest in international markets and export strategy.

• HBO degree in International Business or equivalent (year 3+)
• Demonstrable affinity with international markets, export strategies, and business communication.
• Independent, analytical, and enjoys figuring things out and asking follow-up questions
• Dutch and English excellent; German, French, or another European language is a big plus
• Comfortable with AI tools as part of the work process
• Work in a compact, ambitious team with direct, visible impact
